Egg Hunt Eggtravaganza

We started our egg hunt adventures about a month ago. Crazy right?  Her grandmother Jama brought a bag of eggs down and had so much fun every morning trading on and off with Payton who would hide and who would find.   Her competitive father also wanted to make sure she was ready to attack the field of eggs at our upcoming hunts! We started off with our own hunt with family and friends down at SRP last weekend.
#1

I think it was more of a way for me to do some crafts!

Ready, Set, Go....

next...
Now we headed back to SRP Pera club for their huge egg hunt the next morning
Her dad's strategy is to contain yourself as you run by all of the eggs to the back of the field.  Then you are by yourself to gather a ton of eggs while the crowds start at the front.
It is crazy how it works - the kids are flying past the start line and then come to a halt where the eggs start.  As the masses gather the crowd slowly moves to the back.  Payton and her dad are in the back cleaning up!  Her basket was full by the time the big wave of kids caught up with her!

On to another...
These are some shots Eldon took at an egg hunt yesterday.  I was at a family photo shoot so Eldon was glad to take the lead.
Thanks Rose for a wonderful hunt - they had an amazing time.  Sorry I missed it.

They picked up 82 Eggs!!!

Love the firetruck!

We were invited to a 4th egg hunt after this one but it was in conflict of two birthday parties she was invited to!!!! CRAZY schedule of a 3 year old!

And finally our egg hunt at home on Easter Sunday
She woke up and asked if the easter bunny came and hid all of the eggs for her?
Yep...

Happy Easter!

Cousins

It has taken me forever to get these three together for a picture!  But here it is all three Crank cousins!

This shot lasted all of 30 seconds.  They jumped off and when I called them back they tried to get back up for one more shot and all went tumbling down to the concrete on top of each other.  Becca on the bottom :(

How many times does a Falcon take a dump each day?

How many times does a Falcon take a dump each day?

Yes, this is what we were asking ourselves on Saturday as we sat watching the DiamondBacks play the Cincinnati Reds.
We arrive at the ballpark early to take in the sights and to get to our seats not to miss a second of the ball game.  It is a beautiful day and the smell of hot dogs in the air!
We sat in Section 207 row 12 seats 3-8.  The BEST seats in the house!!! When I say the best I mean there are no other seats as entertaining as these!!!!

Shortly after we are seated a Diamond Backs service representative came down to talk with the people seated in the two rows directly in front of us.  He shared with them that there was a falcon living in the rafter just above us.  We all turn our heads upward and sure enough there was a falcon directly above us.

He then said that they had a suite they could sit in and he would escort them up to it.   I then thought to myself why are they talking to the two rows in front of us and not us, we are directly below the falcon what about a suite for us???  At that moment in time I did not know just how entertaining my seat would become.  Just then another D-backs employee came down to wipe off the chairs in front of us.  They were covered in Falcon Dodo!  It seemed that even though the Falcon was directly above us when he did his business the wind would take it to the rows in front of us.  As the time passed before the game the D-back's employee came multiple times escorting groups of people up to the suite.

The game starts...

A few minutes in, a group of young women in their high heels, short shorts and Designer bags sit down in the drop zone!  Just as we are discussing how to tell them, The dodo flies! The volume of dodo a falcon releases was amazing!  Who would have thought one bird could do that kind of damage!  The poor girl was covered, it wasn't a direct hit on the head but it got her good on the right shoulder, arm, lap and full right leg.  She froze in shock not knowing what had happened and just then another dump.  She knew it then.  She quickly rose with her arms and legs frozen outward did the robot walk up the stairs to the restroom.  I was laughing so hard I had to wipe away the tears.  My face was covered in my shirt so there was no way I could take a photo!  I am really wishing I had the composure enough to get the shot.

I felt so bad. After I gained my composure I followed the group upstairs to tell them about the facility moving people to a suite.  But, my guess is those were not their seats to begin with.  As I reach the top I see her friends.  Two are still laughing and the third is gagging.  I tell them... and they are grateful.  Could it get better than this? ohhh yes it could...  My aunt Sal turned to me and said where is Jess? (She had taken Payton to the bathroom *snerk*)  We did not realize where she was and were bummed that she had missed the SHOW!  Just then she came back to the seats and said "You will not BELIEVE what I just saw in the bathroom!!!!!"  And in unison Sal and I say OH Yes we can!  Again I am laughing so hard I'm crying.  She then Googles how often does a Falcon take a dump?  48 times a day!  So, that means we can expect another drop in about 25-30 minutes.

Spring training is always so much fun... but much better enjoyed with a falcon!
